The Gundam Assemble US release date kicks off October 1-4, 2026 at the Las Vegas Open, where fans can experience this new tabletop miniatures game firsthand and receive exclusive limited-edition giveaways.

Bandai’s GUNDAM ASSEMBLE represents a new entry in the tabletop gaming market, bringing the iconic Mobile Suit Gundam franchise to miniature wargaming enthusiasts. The global launch tour includes multiple events across different regions, with the Las Vegas Open serving as the primary US debut for American players eager to get their hands on this highly anticipated release.

Official US Release Schedule for Gundam Assemble

The Gundam Assemble US release date is officially set for early October 2026, coinciding with the Las Vegas Open event. This marks the beginning of GUNDAM ASSEMBLE’s availability to American players through the global launch tour program. The tour schedule begins from October 2026 onward, with the Las Vegas Open serving as the first major US event where attendees can play, learn, and purchase GUNDAM ASSEMBLE products.

Beyond the Las Vegas Open, the global launch tour will extend to select BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27 events across various regions throughout the tour period. Bandai has indicated that further details about additional US event locations will be announced at a later date, suggesting more opportunities for American fans to experience GUNDAM ASSEMBLE beyond the initial Las Vegas launch.

Las Vegas Open Event Details

The Las Vegas Open runs from October 1-4, 2026, providing four full days for attendees to explore GUNDAM ASSEMBLE. This event serves as the cornerstone of the US launch strategy, offering the most comprehensive introduction to the game for American players. Located in Las Vegas, Nevada, the event is accessible to players from across the United States and provides multiple days to participate in various activities.

The choice of Las Vegas Open as the primary US launch venue reflects the event’s prominence in the tabletop gaming community and its ability to draw large crowds of dedicated hobbyists. Players attending the event will have access to the full range of launch activities, including learning to play sessions, painting workshops, and product showcases that demonstrate the breadth of the GUNDAM ASSEMBLE line.

Additional information about the Las Vegas Open event can be found through the official Las Vegas Open details page on the Bandai Hobby website.

Event Activities and Experiences

GUNDAM ASSEMBLE launch events feature three primary activity types designed to welcome both new players and experienced tabletop gamers. These activities may vary depending on the specific event venue, but the core offerings remain consistent across the global launch tour.

Learn to Play Sessions

Learn to Play sessions provide structured introductions to GUNDAM ASSEMBLE’s gameplay mechanics and rules. These sessions are designed for complete newcomers who have no prior experience with the game, walking participants through basic concepts, turn structure, and tactical fundamentals. Experienced tabletop gamers can use these sessions to quickly understand how GUNDAM ASSEMBLE differs from other miniature wargames they may already play.

Painting Workshops

Painting workshops give attendees hands-on experience with the hobby side of GUNDAM ASSEMBLE. Participants can learn techniques specific to painting the game’s miniatures, from basic primer application and base coating to more advanced weathering effects and panel lining that bring Gundam mobile suits to life. These workshops are particularly valuable for players new to miniature painting who want guidance on achieving quality results.

Product Showcase

Product showcases display the full range of GUNDAM ASSEMBLE products available at launch. Attendees can examine miniatures up close, review starter sets and expansion products, and see painted examples that demonstrate the visual potential of the miniatures. The showcase provides an opportunity to plan purchases and understand which products align with different play styles or favorite mobile suits from the Gundam franchise.

Exclusive Participation Benefits

Attendees at GUNDAM ASSEMBLE launch events receive two exclusive benefit packages designed to enhance their entry into the game. These giveaways provide both gameplay components and hobby supplies, though specific items, eligibility requirements, and quantities may vary depending on the event venue.

GUNDAM ASSEMBLE Promotion Kit (Yellow Version)

The primary participation benefit is the GUNDAM ASSEMBLE PROMOTION KIT〈YELLOW Ver.〉, which includes one randomly distributed limited-color miniature. Participants receive one of the following exclusive yellow-colored miniatures:

• RX-78-2 Gundam (YELLOW Ver.)
• Guncannon (YELLOW Ver.)
• Guntank (YELLOW Ver.)

These yellow version miniatures are limited editions created specifically for the launch tour and will not be available through regular retail channels. The specific miniature received cannot be selected—distribution is random to ensure fair allocation across all participants. The promotional materials show the TP-001 Gundam (YELLOW Ver.) as an example of these exclusive colorations, though all images are noted as being for illustrative purposes only.

GUNDAM ASSEMBLE Color Set

The secondary benefit is a GUNDAM ASSEMBLE Color Set provided by MR.HOBBY. This paint set includes White and Blue colors specifically formulated for the GUNDAM ASSEMBLE COLOR line. These paints are designed to match the color schemes of iconic Gundam mobile suits and provide hobbyists with the essential colors needed to begin painting their miniatures immediately after the event.

The paint set serves a practical purpose beyond being a giveaway—it provides new players with the exact materials needed to start customizing their miniatures according to official color guidance, reducing the barrier to entry for the hobby aspect of the game.

Registration Requirements and Eligibility

To receive the participation benefits at GUNDAM ASSEMBLE launch events, attendees must be registered with BANDAI TABLETOP GAMES (BTG). Registration is free and can be completed either in advance or on-site during the event itself, though advance registration is recommended to streamline the check-in process.

Registration is completed through the Login button on the BANDAI TABLETOP GAMES website. The registration system creates a player account that tracks participation in Bandai tabletop gaming events and provides access to organized play programs, tournament results, and community features.

Players who register on-site during the event can still receive all participation benefits, but advance registration helps event organizers better estimate attendance and prepare adequate quantities of giveaway items. For players planning to attend multiple events during the global launch tour, a single BTG registration works across all participating venues.

Event organizers note that giveaway items, eligibility requirements, and quantities may vary depending on the specific event venue. Players attending Las Vegas Open or other tour stops should verify the specific participation requirements with the individual event organizers to ensure they meet all criteria for receiving promotional items.

International Launch Tour Events

While the Las Vegas Open serves as the primary US launch venue, GUNDAM ASSEMBLE’s global launch tour includes additional international events that demonstrate the worldwide scope of the release. The tour schedule includes:

Event Name	Location	Dates	Region

The BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27 series will host GUNDAM ASSEMBLE activities at select events across various regions. Players interested in BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest events can monitor the official Fest website for updates about which locations will feature GUNDAM ASSEMBLE activities.

Important Event Participation Notes

Several important considerations apply to all GUNDAM ASSEMBLE launch tour events. Event details, giveaway contents, eligibility requirements, and other information are subject to change without prior notice. This flexibility allows event organizers to adapt to attendance levels and logistical considerations, but means players should verify current information before traveling to events.

The event organizers assume no responsibility for any accidents, disputes, damages, or other issues that may occur between attendees or between attendees and third parties. This standard disclaimer applies to all interactions during the events, and participants are expected to conduct themselves respectfully within the tabletop gaming community.

Attendees must follow all rules, policies, and guidelines established by each event organizer. While Bandai provides the GUNDAM ASSEMBLE content and materials, the individual event venues (Las Vegas Open, SPIEL ESSEN, etc.) maintain their own operational standards, code of conduct requirements, and venue-specific policies. For full details about venue-specific requirements, participants should refer to the official website of the respective event they plan to attend.

GUNDAM ASSEMBLE products are intended for ages 15 or older, and products do not come pre-painted. The miniatures require assembly and painting by the user, which is part of the hobby experience but should be considered by potential players when evaluating the time and skill investment required.
